Google is set to officially unveil the Pixel Watch to the world tomorrow, Thursday, October 6. Although we already know almost everything about the watch thanks to numerous leaks and rumors, it will be interesting to see how Google declared its first wearable.
Today, as shared by Android Police, Google has developed an app for Wear OS, and there is also a smartphone app available on APKMirror.
The app called Caller app would likely make it easier for Google to send call screen related notifications to the watch without pushing the WearOS update. What it’s like to use the iOS app is very important because the phone only uses Pixel Watch.
Outside the UK, the Fitbit mobile app already offers the ability to match your Pixel Watch and the app. Clicking Pixel Watch on the pairing screen takes you to the Google Pixel Watch app on the Play Store. The app is not yet available on the Play Store, so you get a good preview of a Something went wrong screen. Interestingly, the pairing option is only visible on the Android Fitbit app, not the iOS app. Past leaks have revealed that the Pixel Watch does not work with iOS devices, but will only be compatible with Androids running Android 8 or higher, which can be attributed to the lack of Pixel Watch in the Android Fitbit app.
