We asked you what your favorite Pixel phone was, and now we have a winner

The results of AP’s favorite Pixel poll are in, and our readers aren’t a bunch for nostalgia

We’ve spent the week celebrating everything Pixel, all leading up to the official unveiling of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro yesterday. While Google’s hardware brand is set to expand to watches and tablets for the first time, the bulk of the Pixel portfolio is made up of phones. Over the past two weeks, we’ve asked our readers to vote for their all-time favorite Pixel phones. on Twitter. After a few really controversial rounds, we finally reached a winner.

In a not-so-surprising turn of events, the Pixel 6 Pro is your winner for best Pixel phone ever, chosen by you, our humble readers. That’s hardly a surprise, given that it’s still Google’s latest flagship phone – for a few more days, that is. In its victory, the Pixel 6 Pro went up against some real competitors, including the Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 4a 5G and the smaller Pixel 6. Along the way, it crushed everything on his path. .

The final showdown pitted the Pixel 6 Pro against the Pixel 6a in one last battle. In the end, Google’s latest mid-range champ didn’t stand a chance against the device that won our 2021 Readers’ Phone of the Year award.

In many ways, the Pixel 6 Pro represents the pinnacle of the company’s smartphone efforts thus far. Its cameras are the best we’ve seen on a Google phone to date, offering wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses for taking photos. Its display is bright and crisp, and the design – while not universally beloved – stands out in a crowd. It’s far from a perfect phone, sure, but hopefully the Pixel 7 Pro will build on all its shortcomings to earn its rightful place on the throne.
