Ubisoft reveals Rainbow Six mobile FPS game – does it have a release date and what do we know so far?

Last update:

Ubisoft, the developers behind the Tom Clancy games IP, have announced the brand new Rainbow Six mobile. The game puts a whole new spin on the Rainbow Six Siege experience, giving players a whole new format to experience the game.

The studio behind Rainbow Six Siege, Montreal, has a whole new team working on the mobile adaptation of Rainbow Six Siege. The core of the game remains the same, with a five-on-five PvP experience being the core gameplay experience with attacking and defending teams.

Additionally, we have an idea of who and what cards are coming to the game. So far, the trailer only shows the classic bank card in the works. During this time, we got to see a few Operators including Thermite, Hibana, and Sledge, with the Defender showing Castle, Rook, and Jaegar. However, we know there will be more. However, don’t expect the full Siege Operator arsenal, as there will be announcements on the full Siege roster at a later date.

On top of that, Ubisoft has announced that the casual and fun game mode, Secure Area, is making an appearance, as is the competitive Bomb mode. As it stands, the game is still in pre-alpha and will be worked on throughout 2022. The developers are still working on the details, including unique mobile progression systems that differ from the base game and from all of its different editions, since mobile play is going to be an entirely different experience and starting point for play. One of those ideas is to try them once and unlock them later, which allows you to passively unlock the operators.

For those who want to experience Siege on the go, you can sign up and have the chance to test the game on mobile while Ubisoft prepares Alpha and Beta invites to test the game. You can sign up for test hereand read the complete news post-interview on the Ubisoft website.
