The 10 highest-grossing games of the past week for Steam — June 27

Last week’s Steam data has been released and SteamDB updated its list of the ten highest-grossing games for this period.

This week’s top ten holds several surprises, but the most notable of the bunch is that for the first time since release, Elden Ring is no longer in the top ten.

The title is still among the top 25 best-selling games worldwide, but its drop from the top ten indicates that the Elden Ring hype is finally dying down for good.

However, that doesn’t mean a FromSoftware game isn’t in the top ten, and since the summer sale is now live, there are plenty of new additions to the top ten.

10. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – GOTY Edition

Elden Ring may have dropped out of the top ten, but that doesn’t mean FromSoftware did, as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice took tenth place.

It features unique rhythm-based gameplay with a degree of verticality and storytelling that no other Soulsborne game has ever featured.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has cracked the top ten thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, as many Elden Ring players have probably decided to try something new.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a very positive user review score on Steam.

9. Rust

Rust is one of the most popular multiplayer survival games on Steam, and thanks to the Summer Sale, it’s 50% off.

The object of the game is to survive and do whatever it takes to complete it each game day.

Despite being an eight-year-old game, the title has received over 300 content updates, ensuring it continues to be an enjoyable experience.

Rust has a recent and very positive overall user review on Steam.

8. The Wonders of Tiny Tina

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the satirical DnD take on Borderlands 3 which was released in June this year and features a new storyline, new playstyle and new experience for fans of the series.

The game comes in two purchasable versions – the base game and the Chaotic Great Edition – and it’s unclear which of these versions this entry represents due to the way Steam records its data.

The summer sale discounted both releases by 20%, which no doubt helped it land in the top ten.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a mostly positive user review score on Steam.

7. Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn of the Sun

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is only days away from release, so it’s no surprise to see it on this list.

The G-Rank expansion is expected to add a massive amount of content to the game, including plenty of fan-favorite monsters that will appeal to series veterans.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is set to release on June 29 this week.

6. God of War

Often considered one of the best games on PlayStation, the PC port of God of War was also a big hit.

The hype surrounding its sequel has no doubt added to the game’s appeal, and with the summer sale on, many who were considering buying the original no doubt decided it was the right time.

God of War has an overwhelmingly positive review score on Steam.

5. Rise of the Monster Hunter

With its expansion in a few days and thanks to the summer sales, Monster Hunter Rise has entered the top ten.

No doubt this will continue for the duration of the sale, as well as when the G-Rank expansion – Sunbreak – is released.

Monster Hunter Rise has a very positive user review score on Steam.

4. Raft

ARaft is a unique game that lets players build their own raft as they struggle to survive being stranded in the middle of the ocean.

The creativity and challenge it presents has proven appealing to many, and with the summer sale slashing the game’s already low price, it’s no surprise it’s in fourth place.

Raft has a very positive user review score on Steam.

3. The wonders of Tiny Tina

The second appearance of the Borderlands 3 spin-off game ranks third on this list.

As stated earlier, the game comes in two versions, so it’s uncertain which version represents this location.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a mostly positive user review score on Steam.

2. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

The next part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy retains its second place.

This was no doubt helped by the reduction in play as part of the summer sale.

Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade has a very positive user review score on Steam.

1. Steam Bridge

The Steam Deck retains its top spot as usual.

Valve’s portable gaming PC is clearly selling well.

The Steam Deck is currently unavailable in South Africa.
