Today, it looked like that long wait would be over for many fans as news circulated on Twitter that a remake would be fast approaching. Unfortunately, this post comes from a fake account of the popular “Nibellion” account on Twitter, with over 300,000 followers for different rumors, news, and video game updates. And to pour salt on the wound, the link used in the post is to an old 2015 Playstation blog post titled “why you might be playing transmitted by blood During a very long time.”

This fake account managed to do this by making its account almost identical to the original Nibel account, but simply capitalizing the “i” in its name. And since Nibellion isn’t Twitter verified, most people didn’t notice this difference at first. The real Nibellion account even responded to the fake tweet by joking that this news had better be true, with the fake replying “it is”.

Another reason why it was also able to spread so quickly is that it fooled popular content creators like Jacksepticeye. Jacksepticeye responded to the tweet with genuine hope for the news, saying it better be serious because it wasn’t a joke. Another popular Twitch streamer named Lirik, with over 2 million subscribers on Twitch, also responded to the tweet, delighted that Bluepoint is leading the production.

Unfortunately, for Jacksepticeye and many others, it’s just a troll. It’s not even the first time there’s been a fake transmitted by blood remastered leak. Nibel’s original Twitter account denied any updates for transmitted by blood, and there is currently no official news on a transmitted by blood remake. Hopefully, fans can come to terms with some good news soon.
